Level 1: Hand Independence

For this course, I have created 12 exercises specially designed to help you improve your hand independence. I believe hand independence is the #1 most important skill to develop if you are serious about becoming a great piano player. Hand independence is the ability and coordination that allows our hands and fingers to move independently of one another. That can include playing different rhythms, using different fingers at the same time, as well as moving in opposite directions of each other. The Level 1 course features 12 exercises to train all five fingers. These melodies consist of only intervals of 2nds and 3rds. I have listed the finger numbers above the notes in the right hand and below the notes in the left hand. I would highly recommend you follow these finger numbers exactly to get the most out of these exercises. Our goal in this course is to develop equal strength between all of our fingers.
